Important Information
Take-Home Binders
We want to help our fourth graders to always be prepared for the day ahead. You can help! Please check your child’s binder each day for important notes and daily work. This will serve as our primary communication tool. Your child’s homework will be written down in his/her planner each day. There is a special place for important notes, homework, special projects, and wonderful work.
Technology Items
We will be using Schoology and Seesaw each week in the classroom. Schoology is a place where students can access learning materials for each subject. Seesaw is an online portfolio for students to showcase their learning.
Water Bottles
Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school each day.
Birthdays
Birthdays are so special and we love for moms and dads to join their child for lunch to celebrate. We have a special place in the cafeteria for parents to sit so that you and your child can spend quality time together. You are welcome to bring a special dessert for you and your child to enjoy during your lunchtime visit, however, for the safety of all, we ask that you refrain from sharing birthday treats/snacks with your child’s class.
Sending Money to School for 4th grade supplies or T-shirts
Please send money to school in an envelope or baggy clearly marked with your child’s name and the purpose for the money. If sending in a check, please be sure to include a telephone number, child’s name, teacher name, and grade.
Lunch Money
A tray lunch (which includes an entree, fruit, vegetable, & milk) costs $3.00 each day. Money can be added to a student lunch account by sending cash or checks made out to BSE.
Weekly Communication of Student Progress/Red VIP Folders
Every Tuesday, your child will bring home a folder that contains graded papers from the week before. Please review the work with your child, sign where indicated, and then return the folder on Wednesday. Please return all graded papers to school in the VIP folder.
