Donation for Room Mother-Mrs. Shepherd's Homeroom

Summative Assessment Tomorrow on Dependent and Independent Clauses

This is just a little reminder about our summative assessment tomorrow on Dependent and Independent Clauses. Your child should look over his/her interactive notebook information about independent and dependent clauses tonight. He/she should have a foldable and etc. in his/her notebook to look over. Picture for Social Studies Activity


Your child will need to bring in a picture of his/her face by Friday. This picture should be about the size of a baseball. It does not need to be a brand new picture, but no older than last year or the year before. We are going to use these pictures for a Social Studies activity. Thank you for your assistance.

Reading Studies Weekly Tonight-Wednesday, Sept. 14

Your child should be looking over/reading/re-reading the articles in the Social Studies Weekly Newspaper #2 tonight in preparation for tomorrow’s class. Your child may listen to the articles online and follow along with the newspaper if he/she would like. If your child has not created an account with Studies Weekly, he/she should do this as soon as possible in order to take advantage of the online resources available. I gave out the registration information on Monday of this week. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Have a great evening.

Setting up an online account for Studies Weekly

Dear Parents,

Your child will be bringing home a slip of paper today with directions on how to create an online account for Studies Weekly. Please encourage your child to create this account in the next few days in order to start taking advantage of the online resources Studies Weekly has available. This account will work for both Science and Social Studies. If your child has lost his/her slip, the website is www.studiesweekly.com/newstudent Thank you for your assistance with this matter. Reminder about Literature Circle Packet

All Literature Circle Packets are due tomorrow for Henry Huggins.  Each student will be turning in a completed packet.  **All six jobs should be completed in the packet.
