A Little About Mrs. Mary Jo

Welcome Parents,
Hello I am Mary Jo Sides and I am the new special education preschool teacher here at Bailey Station Elementary School. I am the wife of Robert my amazing husband and proud mother to Seth, LeAnna, DJ, Dixie (my doggie) and gammy to Princess and Baylor (my grandpuppies).

I have a love and passion for teaching and it is my belief that beginning early in a student’s life can make all the difference in that students future education. I am a new lead teacher but have worked in a school setting for 10 years, the past three of which have been in early intervention special education. I hold a duel Bachelor of Art degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and I am currently working toward my Masters in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies. This is my first year at Bailey Station Elementary and my third year with Collierville Schools and I am looking forward to an amazing school year. I am excited to lead your child on this amazing journey we call education and can't wait to see how we all grow together.

FUN FACTS:
When I’m not at school with my students, I enjoy:

- Traveling with my husband, family and friends.

- University of Memphis athletics where my daughter is a member of the national award-winning dance team.

- Collierville High School Baseball where my son is a member of the Collierville High School Varsity Baseball Team.

- Traveling to Murfreesboro, TN spending quality time with my oldest son and grandpuppy.

- And, I also enjoy crafting, running and reading.
