Welcome to Art!
I am very excited to be at Bailey Station Elementary! I've been teaching 13 years. I have a degree from the U of M in Advertising Art and a Master's degree from CBU in Elementary Education. I started teaching Math and Science, then obtained my Art certification in Tennessee.
I believe in a history based approach to teaching in elementary. I love Art history, but explore other avenues of art making as well. I volunteer at the Ornamental Metal Museum and have a love for melting metal! Paint is my main medium, which I use often in my lessons. I will be traveling to the classrooms this year to lower the students exposure. We will still have a great time creating all sorts of art!
