Welcome to Bailey Station Elementary School…Home of the Bears…Where Children are Loved and Love to Learn!
I am beyond excited and so honored to be the principal of this wonderful school. This has been my very favorite job while serving in education over 30 years! I love seeing my students’ smiling faces and parents in our building. You are so important to the success of Bailey Station!
Just a little about me…I was previously the Assistant Principal at BSE since the building opened in 2005. My two children both attended BSE for kindergarten through 5th grade so I have experienced Bailey Station as parent and a leader. There is no place like it! I love this precious school and love the faculty, staff, students, and families who fill it.
I want you to know we have a plan to meet your child’s needs to the very best of our ability. We do not take this task lightly and continue to work hard daily! We meet for faculty meetings frequently to provide research-based and relevant professional development (PD) opportunities for our teachers. Our PD is continuous throughout the school year. We also meet weekly in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) by grade levels to reflect on our instructional practices, make necessary changes, review data, and plan for interventions and extensions.
First and foremost, we love your children. We want to create the safest environment possible for them. Second, we are identifying those essential standards that your child must know in order to be successful throughout their school career. Finally, we are ensuring that the tasks and assessments your child is doing is meeting the rigor of the state standards provided to us. We are working on making sure there is CLARITY among our staff because clarity removes fear!
