About Bailey Station

Bailey Station Elementary School was established in 2005 as part of the Shelby County School System. On July 1, 2014 the Collierville School System was created and BSE is now governed by this system.

Our facility contains self-contained classrooms for grades K-5. We are proud to offer our students a fully equipped library with computerized circulation, art room with kiln, sound proof music rooms with storage, learning lab, two computer labs, cafeteria with stage and a large air conditioned gymnasium.

State and district guidelines mandate the course offerings at BSE. The academic curriculum at Bailey Station provides instruction in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, Physical Education and Library Skills. All grades receive instruction in character education and other life skills through our guidance program and daily Project Wisdom announcements. The classroom teachers provide instruction and enrichment opportunities through differentiated classroom lessons, integrating technology using the computer lab and ibook carts, as well as opportunities to work in the learning lab.

Approximately 825 students are enrolled this year. Students are assigned to 40 classroom teachers who are highly qualified to teach our academic curriculum. We have 18 full time and 3 part-time specialists (Music, Art, Library, PE, Counselors, Speech, APEX gifted program and DEC resource teachers). We have part-time Occupational and Physical Therapists, as well as a full-time Nurse on our staff.
